Bright Future Predicted for Morticians 

 
The Chicago Tribune reported on Sunday, March 18, 2001 that there is an expected shortage of morticians coming within the next few years. The funeral industry predicts an acute shortfall in the numbers of licensed morticians and funeral directors due to retirement and fewer students enrolled at the nation's 52 accredited mortuary colleges. So, if you were recently "pink-slipped" at a Dot-Com, here's a chance for a secure job market...after all, the only things you can count on in life are
death and taxes.
