Rockers' remains vandalized
The remains of two founding members of the Southern rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd will be moved to unmarked burial sites after their graves in Orange Park, Florida were vandalized. Ronnie Van Zant's tomb and the mausoleum containing Steven Gaines' ashes were broken open June 29. Van Zant's coffin remained sealed, but Gaines' ashes were spilled. Their mausoleums in Orange Park will remain as a memorial for fans to visit. (from The Chicago Sun-times, July 14, 2000).
